Brigades

We offer several brigades (our term for short-term mission teams) including: medical outreach, VBS, construction projects, mechanic groups, and "water" well drilling teams. Our brigades offer visiting groups an opportunity to experience the various works going on in Santa Rosa through Mission UpReach. These brigades offer encouragement, healing, and relief to the people in Western Honduras.
A Brigade Story

Meet Iris

Iris lives in a small community just outside of Santa Rosa. She has cerebral palsy and was unable to swallow solid food when we first encountered her.

We first learned about Iris due to one of our medical brigades, and were able to offer her relief through liquid supplements to help her recover from pneumonia and malnutrition.

Iris is an example of how our visitors can affect the life of someone living in seemingly hopeless conditions in a most significant way.

Medical brigades bring help to communities and people who would otherwise go without and offer healing. The physical transformation we have seen in the life of little Iris is astounding.

Brigades demonstrate Christ’s love in local communities and open many doors to our efforts to launch the John 1010 generation of churches where they live.

Our visiting group members, volunteers, staff, and group coordinators all help spread the John 1010 Generation by caring for and loving the people of Western Honduras through our medical brigades.

Talk to us about setting up your own evangelistic outreach, medical or project brigade from your church or organization, and help us spread the John 1010 Generation.

Brigades serve in Honduras for one week.  We offer opportunities for your school, church, university, or social group to serve as a team.  In addition, we offer mixed teams throughout the year where you may join with other like-minded Christians.
