Gala Fundraising Event a Huge Success

Gala Fundraising Event a Huge Success

Our first ever semi-formal, gala fundraising event, held on November 9th in Nashville, was a huge success. We were blown away by the outpouring of support both in attendance and participation as well as in the generosity of donations. We received a total of $90,000+, after expenses, made up of a combination of cash, checks and credit card donations. In addition, there were some significant pledges as well. The evening far exceeded our expectations.

We owe a great debt of gratitude to our sponsors. These were: Max and Kay Reiboldt from the Coker Group, Greg and Tammie Waldron and David and Betsy Waldron from Waldron Enterprises, Dr. Kendle and Carmen Yates, Larry and Valerie Baker, LoveFirst.org, Dr. Cory and Jennifer Calendine, Mark and Julie Hunter, Dr. Kory Cummings, Dr. Adam and Kristin Spencer, Dr. Scott and Heather Bedichek,  Tim and Donna Heath, James and Merrill McCreary, Dr. Claude and Marta Kinzer, James and Mary Miller, Ted and Cheryl Van Den Meiracker with the Snellville Church of Christ, Wayne Kellis, President of NaturChem, Inc., Bill and Dianne Seely, Will and Joselin Tidwell, Joe and Teresa Walkup with Innovative Business Products, and the Southside Church of Christ from Shelbyville, TN.

We also want to acknowledge to everyone how grateful we are to Joe and Linda Chambers who are the founders of the Musicians Hall of Fame in Nashville where the event was held. They were very gracious in working with us as we began putting the details of the event together. Their museum and facilities were both fun and exciting with just the right touch of formality to make the event what we were hoping for. The entertainment, first Brian Bates as a “warm-up” act for the headliner and second Henry Cho as the main act; were very funny in a clean and healthy way that sometimes is absent in standup comedy. They both helped make the evening the success that it was.

Thank you to all of these we have listed here and to so many others that helped in making the evening a fun- fundraising event. We could not have done it without you.
