09 Jun A Note From Donna, June
Phil and I have had the privilege of being more directly involved this past year with the young men at the project. We spend Tuesday evenings with them with Phil teaching life lessons from the Bible. We have loved being their team parents during this year’s soccer league. I, particularly, get really excited during games and they have told me how they love hearing me scream their names. Phil and I feel that God has not only filled in some voids in our lives with these young men, but also others that He has brought to us. We now have 4 adopted grandchildren, two of which are our neighbors. They love us more than we deserve, and it’s not difficult for us to return the love. This past week we had the privilege of beginning a study on salvation with our 12 year old granddaughter, along with her mother and little brother. Those moments remind us of why we are here and give us deep joy beyond measure.
On June 5th, Phil and I will celebrate 43 years of marriage and 16 years of living in Honduras. We give God all the glory and honor for our marriage and thank Him for giving us the grace and love necessary for a long marriage. Our 16 years in Honduras have flown by, but at the same time He has done so many wonderful things. Thank God with us for these great milestones.
