James Franklin McCreay III: Friend and Partner in Ministry

James Franklin McCreay III: Friend and Partner in Ministry

By Phil Waldron, CEO

James Franklin McCreary III was first a friend and then a partner in ministry with Donna and I for almost forty years. During the early eighties, we were a young couple at a church in Atlanta for years where James and Merrill attended. Later when we began a mission in Cozumel, México that led to the establishment of the orphanage, Ciudad de Ángeles, James served as one of the first board members. Our thoughts and prayers have been with Merrill and their entire family with James’ sudden passing on October 11th of this year.

The family requested that in lieu of flowers, that gifts be made to either Ciudad de Ángeles or Mission UpReach, Inc., which are two works that he supported with all his heart. Several people have sent memorial gifts to us. Speaking for Mission UpReach, I would like to say, that our entire organization is grateful for James’ legacy. And speaking as friends, Donna and I are deeply grateful for having our lives enriched by our association with James.
