Project Moses Graduation

Project Moses Graduation

Another school year has come to an end; thus, another year of our boys’ program has wrapped up. We ended the year with 23 young men. One of those young men graduated from high school, Benjamin Román. Benjamin has been a model student: studious, obedient, and very humble. Benjamin studied accounting in high school and would like to continue his studies at the University level. We have extended to him an invitation to continue to live at the project and receive a scholarship in exchange for his assistance in the project.

A couple of weeks back, we invited 15 young men to visit the project and experience a few days of life on the farm. After interviewing and interacting with them, we invited 10 of them to return for the 2026 school year. This is a step of faith on our part. Our desire has been to grow the program each year until we reach our capacity of 48.

It has been pure joy watching the boys grow and mature. Much like our own son at that age, the boys eat a lot and must remain active and directed. Our program director, Tyler Harbison, along with his assistant, Francis Vasquez, have done an outstanding job of keeping the boys’ lives filled with productive and growth producing activities. Between Bible, English, Robotics, STEM, gardening, and soccer, the boys hardly have time for mischief.

As you may know, we launched a few months back a sponsorship program for the boys. We have 5 of the 23 boys sponsored. We had hoped to accomplish more than that, but trust with time the right people will be excited to begin a relationship with a young man that will surely be transformative for all involved. If you would like to consider such involvement, or know someone who might, look at the website:  https://missionupreach.org/project-moses-sponsorship-catalog/

We appreciate your continued prayers for these young men, the future of Honduras.
