September 15th is Honduran Independence Day and each year schools across Honduras participate in parades to commemorate it. Our ESPERO school for deaf adults walked in the parade, and it was such a positive experience. Our students were able to show off their accomplishments, while also raising awareness about the deaf community and our school. As the school year draws to an end, ESPERO will begin recruiting for next year to expand our reach in the deaf community in order to provide the quality education they were denied in their childhood.
