05 Apr DESEO Kicks Off New School Year
Our DESEO team kicked off the school year in early March in 18 different public schools. The children at the schools that we have been visiting were so excited to see the team back. The love and acceptance they communicate to the children brings joy beyond measure. Our young team presents the concept of who we are and what we do in such a fun and dynamic way. We are in several new schools this year, and we look forward to cultivating the new relationships and opportunities they bring. Additionally, we have added a school counselor to our services provided in the schools. Mayra Huiza has just completed her degree in counseling and will be providing individual and group counseling to 11 of these schools. Additionally, she, along with our DESEO team, are playing a vital role in helping the boys at the Moses Project with tutoring and counseling. We are very proud of this group of passionate young men and women and what they are doing to make a difference in the lives of the children of Honduras.
