12 Aug A Note from Donna
It would be an understatement to say the past couple of months have been difficult for Phil and me and our families. On June 15th, my mother willingly and joyfully entered her eternal rest and exactly one month later Phil’s dad followed. As Phil titled his article, this truly is the end of an era. We are blessed to still have Phil’s mother with us, but her desire to move on to heaven is increasing daily. As many of you know, laying a parent to rest is unique to the death of other family members. They are the people you have known the longest and perhaps they have shaped our lives. In the case of both Phil’s father and my mother, we are so blessed by their “shaping” of our faith and our life journey. It also brings us great joy to imagine them being received in heaven by our Harrison.
Amid the sorrow and pain, we have had a busy season of visiting mission teams. The teams have been gracious and understanding of our absence and our team has done an excellent job of handling things while we come and go. I hope you enjoy the photos and reports showing what great service our visiting teams have done here in Honduras this summer. We are already booking groups for next year if you or your church are interested and serving alongside us.
