As you should have noticed, we have gone to a every other month newsletter. We did that to be better stewards of our resources. We would love to hear from you on what you think about that approach. For me, it has felt a bit distant and less connected. We truly want each of you to feel connected and involved with us. Without you, we cannot exist. On the personal side of things, we have had a very busy beginning of the year. Between a month living at camp, a trip to the US, a women’s retreat in Panama, and a visit to Costa Rica due to a generous invitation to be hosted by a mission there, I have had fewer days in my home than I prefer. I am not complaining, but I am looking forward to what we hope are a few months of staying put.

As is likely true for many of you, there are things that we face and deal with that are of a very personal nature that we don’t share with many people. Fortunately, we do have a support base of close confidential friends who we can turn to for support and guidance. I preface my next request with those words so that you can understand that I simply can’t share details, but we need your prayers. There are challenges on many fronts. Many family challenges, many missions related challenges, financial challenges, and the constant challenges of living in a fallen world where Satan roams about seeking whom he may devour. Phil and I are so blessed to have a stable marriage, and we know that many of you have prayed for our marriage as we have faced some horrific things over the past years. Thank you; we have felt those and thank God that we find solace and comfort in each other.  Would you pray? If you don’t already pray for us and Mission UpReach, would you? There are things going on that only God can change, and He listens to His people. We love each of you and thank God for you!
