Under the new leadership of Tyler Harbison, the boys at the Moses Project are experiencing some exciting and productive changes. One of the latest adventures was a mountain trek up Mount Celaque just before the beginning of Holy Week. The peak of Mount Celaque is approximately 9400 ft. above sea level. The boys’ hike started early on Saturday, and they were able to summit just before sunrise on Sunday. A trail guide was employed, and the boys were equipped with the proper tools and supplies for the adventure. Tyler planned this adventure as a bonding experience for the boys just before they went home for the first time since arriving at the Project. Sometimes we lose a few boys after that first vacation, especially if they arrive home to moms who are saddened by their absence. It appears to have worked. All 18 boys returned to the project after their weeklong visit at home. We are excited for the adventures to come for these young men!
