16 Sep July ’26 Brigades

We were so happy to receive a beautiful group of people from the Southside Church of Christ in Ft. Worth, TX and the Legacy Church of Christ in N. Richland Hills, TX. There were additional participants from other parts of the country as well. This group came for the purpose of meeting medical and dental needs in the community of Mercedes. Mercedes is about an hour and a half from Santa Rosa. We encountered beautiful people with great needs and appreciative hearts. This group generally consist of people we have close relationships with, which ends up being such a source of encouragement to us.

We also received an energetic, servant-heart group of teens (along with some adults) from the Tusculum Church of Christ in Nashville, TN. This is the same congregation where our son Harrison and his wife attended during his most challenging years. Our hearts are so very thankful for them and the way they served our son. It was a joy to watch the teens bring a VBS to several schools, as well as basketball clinics and some English classes. We hope they left as full of joy as the children they left behind.

We wrapped up our brigade season this year with a team from the Southside Church of Christ in Lexington, KY who came to serve with Mike and Kris Bridges in Corquín. This group is always so full of love and energy. They love interacting with Mike and Kris’s team and serving the people in the surrounding community with medical care.

Hosting visiting teams is a great joy to us. Our team here in Honduras loves meeting everyone and knowing that there are others who are willing to serve the people of their country. If you are interested in joining or forming a team for 2027, please reach out and let us know.
