As I write this article, Phil and I are planning a 6 week trip to the US to visit churches and partners. We haven’t taken a trip this long in a while and are excited to be able to see many of you during this visit. We will be in TN, AR, TX, VA, PA, NY, SC, AL and GA. We will be driving a few thousand miles and would appreciate your prayers for safety. While it is challenging to leave Honduras for that period of time, we are very confident that the Lord has put together an A-team to keep things moving forward while we are away. This month, Phil and I had the gift of an extended visit from some long-time friends, Ted and Cheryl van den Meiracker. Ted and Cheryl lived in Honduras for a while some years back. Our friendship began many years ago before either of us had children. God reunited us in 2009, and our friendship has grown and deepened every year since. Ted has recently retired, giving them the flexibility to stay for several weeks at a time. Phil and I both continued our normal work schedule but found ourselves eager to return home for the fun and fellowship we enjoyed with our friends. We had no idea how much we needed that kind of fellowship. We laughed, cried, and prayed together. As missionaries, it is challenging to have that depth of relationships for numerous reasons. But God is so good to us and knows just how to meet our needs. One final note, please consider helping us meet our fundraising goal for 2027. There is so much to do here and much of it requires staff and funding. Your life will be richly blessed by knowing you are helping others enjoy the same salvation you have been privileged to receive. We so appreciate each of you!
